This train the trainer institute will
bring together representatives from all of the Colleges of Applied Arts
and Technology in an intensive hands-on and internet based institute to
learn how to integrate technology effectively into the learning process.
Multi-disciplinary teams consisting of educators from across a wide range
of subject areas will work together with support and administrative staff
to integrate technology into learning outcomes driven curricula. Participants
will gain experiential knowledge in the effective use of educational technology
and actually develop projects while they participate in this institute.
Participants will be expected to implement
similar institutes in their home colleges.
Phase One:
Face to face workshop composed of
3 people (faculty, admin, and technical support) from each college
Phase Two:
Three months of on-line moderated
continuation of the institute
Phase Three:
Ongoing support through email, asynchronous
group discussion as requested. Trainers from Phases One and Two implement
institutes at their colleges.

Costs for this Institute will be covered
by the ACCATO grant. Travel and accommodation expenses are the responsibility
of the participant's college. |
